The Outdoor Camping Direct team have sent a support shipment to Nepal to help those affected by the earthquakes.

We were devastated to hear about the Nepal tragedy and we felt honoured to be given the opportunity to help the earthquake victims.

The UN fears that in all eight million people have been affected by the earthquake, over a quarter of the country’s population. Up to 90 per cent of the schools and clinics in some districts have been damaged or destroyed by the earthquake.

The worst hit areas are thought to be in the densely populated Kathmandu valley and the Sindhupalchwok district. A second massive earthquake struck on 12 May, killing an additional 65 people.

On the 13th May 2015, we packed and sent a package to assist with the earthquake victims including:

  • 80 x Sleeping Bags
  • 80 x Tents
  • 80 x Blankets
  • 10 x First Aid Kits
  • Earthquake survivor Kits
  • Medical Grab Bag
  • Water Purification Tablets

The items were flown by DHL door to door and will be delivered to the Himal Dental Hospital for the registrar to distribute as they see fit to those who need it most.

On the 10th June 2015, we received the great news that our support shipment arrived in safely in Nepal! It's great to know we can offer aid to those who really need it. Our love and support goes out to all of the families affected in Nepal.
